Pre-Employment Checking Services
Fully compliant with Data Protection, Human Rights and Freedom of Information Acts, as well as other relevant legislation and codes of practice, Sapient Consulting, in conjunction with Criminal Record Bureau Umbrella Body agencies, offer companies the pre-employment checking activities listed below in order to assist with their recruitment activities. Our Partners who are engaged in this process have themselves been appropriately screened by the Criminal Records Bureau and will maintain the strictest level of confidentiality at all times. All involved in these processes are committed to excellence and protection of the privacy of individuals.
Consent Arrangements
Simultaneous with an employment offer being made, candidates would be required to sign a consent form to allow the release of their personal data/sensitive information, via Sapient Consulting, to their potential employer. All such information is both gathered and retained (for as long as necessary, or as legislatively prescribed) on a strictly confidential basis by Sapient Consulting, and thereafter disposed of securely in a manner which renders it completely unusable.
Right to Work Document Verification
The document verification service we facilitate is designed to supplement the document checks that employers are advised to undertake on all potential employees, in order to mitigate company liability to pay a severe civil penalty for employing illegal immigrants. Employers should bear in mind that they still have primary responsibility for checking candidates´ identity documents, however.
Employment Verifications
It is a known fact that >25% of candidates misrepresent their employment history on their job applications. Where any doubt exists, and covering any period, we are able to use our agencies to back check and verify such details as dates of employment and job titles, as well as dates of unemployment.
Education Verification / Professional Memberships & Licences
A small minority of candidates will misrepresent their qualifications in order to secure employment. Our agencies are able to verify any educational claims made at any level of qualification, including professional memberships and licences.
Credit Enquiry with Electoral Roll and ID Verification
Our agencies are able to disclose such details as bankruptcies, insolvencies, administrative orders or county court judgments, along with verifying candidates´ identity, by comparing names, dates of birth and addresses against the Electoral Roll and other appropriate organisations.
Criminal Record Disclosures
Through registered Government agencies we are able to provide companies with the appropriate level of candidates´ criminal record disclosures, prior to any unsuitable job offers being made. Without indicating the nature of any misdemeanours, our reports will indicate whether the individual is ‘Clear’, or ‘Not Clear’ only, as appropriate.
